PRESENT CONTINUOUS TENSE

Present ContinuousTense:-The Tense which is used to express an action going on at the time of speaking is called Present Continuous Tense.

वह Tense जिसका प्रयोग उस कार्य को व्यक्त करने के लिए किया जाय जो बोलने के वक्त तक जारी हो, उसे Present Continuous Tense कहते हैं |

Identification:- वाक्य के अन्त में रहा है, रहे है, रही है आदि पाया जाता है |

Stru:- S+am/is/are+v₄+o+r.m.

Rule:-1. We use am with I, is with He,She,It and any single name and are with We,They,You and two or more than two name and then use V₄.

I- am

They                                      -are

You and

Two or more than two name

He                                   

She                                             -is

It and

Any single name

2.In Negative sentence We use not after is/am/are and then V₄.

3.In Interrogative sentence, We use is/am/are before the subject.

4.In Interrogative negative sentence,We use ‘not’ after the subject.

 5. We also use am/is/are like this..

                 Is not       =      isn’t

                 Am not    =      aren’t

                 Are not    =      aren’t

6. HOW TO MAKE V₄?

Ø We add ing in V₁ to make V₄.

E.g:-                 V₁                              V₅

                Go                                 going

                Come                            coming

                Run          +ing   =         running

                Tel                                telling

                Laugh                           laughing

E.g. of Present continuous tense:-

                                  Affirmative Sentence

Stru:-S+am/is/are+V₄+O+R.M.

1.वे लोग झूठ बोल रहे है |

They are telling a lie.

2.मै उन्हें समझा रहा हूँ |

I am expounding to them.

3.माँ मुझे बुला रही है |

Mother is calling me.

4.आपलोग स्नान करने जा रहे है |

You are going to take bath.

5.दादा जी छत पर टहल रहे है |

Grandfather is walking on the roof.

                                 

                                  NEGATIVE SENTENCE

Stru:-S+am/is/are+not+V₄+O+R.M.

1.वे लोग झूठ नहीं बोल रहे है |

They are not/aren’t  telling  a lie.

2.मै उन्हें नहीं समझा रहा हूँ |

I am not/aren’t  expounding to them.

3.माँ मुझे नहीं बुला रही है |

Mother is not/isn’t calling me.

4.आपलोग स्नान करने नहीं जा रहे है |

You are not/aren’t going to take bath.

5.दादा जी छत पर नहीं टहल रहे है |

Grandfather is not/isn’t walking on the roof.

                                  INTERROGATIVE  SENTENCE

Stru:- Am/Is/Are+S+V₄+O+R.M.

1.क्या वे लोग झूठ बोल रहे है ?

Are They telling a lie?

2.क्या मै उन्हें नहीं समझा रहा हूँ ?

Am I expounding to them?

3.क्या माँ मुझे बुला रही है ?

Is Mother calling me?

4.क्या आपलोग स्नान करने जा रहे है ?

 Are You going to take bath?

5.क्या दादा जी छत पर टहल रहे है ?

Is Grandfather walking on the roof?

                 INTERROGATIVE NEGATIVE SENTENCE

Stru:- Is/Am/Are+S+not+V₄+O+R.M.

1.क्या वे लोग झूठ नहीं बोल रहे है ?

Are They not telling a lie?/Aren’t They telling a lie?

2.क्या मै उन्हें नहीं समझा रहा हूँ ?

Am I not expounding to them?/Aren’t I expounding to them?

3.क्या माँ मुझे नहीं बुला रही है ?

Is Mother not calling me?/Isn’t Mother calling me?

4.क्या आपलोग स्नान करने नहीं जा रहे है ?

 Are You not going to take bath?/Aren’t You going to take bath?

5.क्या दादा जी छत पर नहीं टहल रहे है ?
