What is difference between Time And Tense?

Time is related to the meaning of a verb and it’s meaning is universal but Tense is related to the form of a verb.

Time का सम्बन्ध क्रिया के अर्थ से होता हैं और इसका अर्थ सर्वब्यापी है, लेकिन  Tense का सम्बन्ध क्रिया के रूप से होता हैं | लेकिन, कैसे ? चलिए जानते हैं-

            इसे समझने के लिए हम नीचे लिखे वाक्यों पर ध्यान देंगे:-

 Ram go to school.                 राम स्कूल जाता है |

Ram went to school.             राम स्कूल गया |      

Ram will go to school.          राम स्कूल जायेगा |

                        इन तीनों वाक्यों को ध्यान से देखने  पर आपको पता चलेगा की इसमे go, went और will go verb है जिसमे go present tense में हैं और इससे present time का बोध होता हैं जबकि went और will go क्रमशः past tense तथा future tense में हैं जिससे past time और future time का बोध होता हैं |

इससे पता चलता है कि present, past तथा future tense क्रमशः present, past तथा future time का बोध कराते हैं |

लेकिन Time और Tense दोनों एक नहीं हैं | Time एक universal concept  हैं जबकि Tense का संबंध verb से हैं |

अब आप पुछेंगे कि Time एक universal concept हैं और इसका संबंध क्रिया के अर्थ से हैं | कैसे ?

चलिए, इसको समझने के लिए हम कुछ उदाहरण लेते हैं :-

Milk is white.                                    दूध उजला होता है |

The Sun rises in the east                सूरज पूरब में उगता हैं |

ऊपर दिये गये दोनों वाक्यों से present, past तथा future तीनों time का बोध होता है |

Milk is white(दूध उजला होता हैं ). इसका मतलब ये नहीं की कल दूध पीला था, आज उजला हैं और परसों नीला हो जायेगा | इसका मतलब ये हैं कि दूध कल भी उजला था आज भी उजला है और हमेशा के लिए दूध उजला रहेगा | यह एक universal truth है जो कभी भी change होने वाला नहीं हैं | इसलिए , यह जरुरी नहीं है कि verb यदि present tense में हैं तो present time का बोध हो और अगर past tense में है तो past time का बोध हो, इससे present , past तथा future तीनों time का बोध होता है |

अब हम जानेंगे कि Tense किसे कहते हैं और इसके कितने प्रकार है ?

 Tense Definition:- The change in form of a verb according to time is called tense.

E.g:- I go.                 मै जाता हूँ |

        I went.                मै गया |

        I will go.           मै जाउँगा |

ऊपर दिये गये वाक्यों में आप देख रहे हैं कि जैसे-जैसे verb का form change हो रहा है वैसे-वैसे उसका tense भी change हो रहा हैं | अर्थात्

समय के अनुसार क्रिया के रूप में परिवर्तन को Tense कहते हैं |

Each Tenses has four classification:-

1.Indefinite 

       

2.Continuous  

   

3.Perfect  

 

4.Perfect Continuous

Present Tense:- The change in form of a verb according to present time is called present tense.

वर्तमान समय के अनुसार क्रिया के रूप में परिवर्तन को Tense कहते हैं |

E.g:- He goes.

          She reads.

I eat. etc.

Types of Present Tense:-

1. PRESENT INDEFINITE

2. PRESENT CONTINUOUS

3. PRESENT PERFECT

4. PRESENT PERFECT CONTINUOUS

Present Indefinite:- The Tense which expresses the simple present time is called simple present tense.

वह Tense जो समान्यतया वर्तमान समय को व्यक्त करता है उसे simple present tense कहते हैं |

Identification:- वाक्य के अन्त में ता है , ते है , ती है आदि पाये जाते है |

 Stru^c:- S+V₁/V₅+O+R.M.

Ø  HOW TO MAKE V₅:-

          We add s/es in V₁ to make V₅.

E.g.:-

                     V₁                                                        V₅

                    Go                                                        goes

                    Come                                                   comes

                     Play           +           s/es   =                 plays

                     Sing                                                    sings

                     laugh                                                   laughs

Ø We use V₅ only in Affirmative sentences.

Ø In Negative sentences we use do/does after the subject then not.

Ø In Interrogative sentences we use do/does before the subject and in the last of any sentence use Question mark(?).

Ø In Interrogative Negative sentences we use do/does before the subject then not and in the last of any sentence use Question mark(?).

Ø When we use does in any sentence then V₅ change to V₁.

 E.g. of Present Indefinite Tense:-

AFFIRMATIVE SENTENCE

Stru:- S+V1/V5+O+R.M.

E.g:- 1.मै अंग्रेजी में बोलता हूँ |

       I  speak in English.

2.वे लोग सुबह में आते है |

       They come in the morning.

3.हमलोग 8 बजे सुबह में नास्ता कर लेते हैं |

           We take breakfast at 8 o’clock in the morning.

4.राम और मोहन मैदान में दौड़ते है |

       Ram and Mohan run in the field.

      5.मै उनके बारे में जनता हूँ |

        I know about him.

NEGATIVE SENTENCE

Stru:- S+do/does+not+v1+o+r.m.                       

1.   मै अंग्रेजी में नहीं बोलता हूँ |

I do not/don’t speak in English.

2.   वे लोग सुबह में नहीं आते है |

They do not/don’t come in the morning.

3.   हमलोग 8 बजे सुबह में नास्ता नहीं करते है |

    We do not/don’t take breakfast at 8 o’clock in the morning.

4.   राम और मोहन मैदान में नहीं दौड़ते है |

Ram and Mohan do not/don’t run in the field.

5.   मै उनके बारे में नहीं जनता हूँ |

I do not/don’t know about him.

INTERROGATIVE

Stru:-Do/Does+S+v1+o+r.m.

1. क्या मै अंग्रेजी में बोलता हूँ ?

Do I speak in English?

2. क्या वे लोग सुबह में आते है ?

Do They come in the morning?

3. क्या हमलोग 8 बजे सुबह में नास्ता कर लेते है ?

Do We take breakfast at 8 o’clock in the morning?

4. क्या राम और मोहन मैदान में दौड़ते है ?

Do Ram and Mohan run in the field?

5. क्या मै उनके बारे में जानता हूँ ?

Do I know about him?

INTERROGATIVE NEGATIVE

1. क्या मै अंग्रेजी में नहीं बोलता हूँ ?

2. क्या वे लोग सुबह में नहीं आते है ?

3. क्या हमलोग 8 बजे सुबह में नास्ता नहीं करते है ?
